Tammy “Paniiqchuugak” Ashley is Alaska Native of Aleut descent from Unga Island on the Aleutian Chain and Inupiat (Eskimo) from White Mountain of the Fish River Tribe on the Seward Peninsula; Tammy was born in Anchorage, Alaska where she resides with her husband and family. She has two grandchildren and one very ORANGE dog Tank.
Tammy took her first True Colors Keys to Personal Success training in 2001 with over a dozen in the next 14 years and throughout that time, her color spectrum has not changed much – ORANGE, GOLD, GREEN, BLUE. In 2016, she became a facilitator of Keys to Personal Success and systematically added certifications to her portfolio to become and Elite Facilitator with five certifications: Keys to Personal Success, Conflict Navigation, Communication, True Teaching and Team Building.
Tammy incorporates True Colors in her personal, professional and volunteer life. By providing mandatory annual trainings for her staff as well as quarterly True Colors activities, her staff speak in color almost daily. With diverse color spectrums, True Colors has proven to be key to positive communication and conflict navigation in the workplace.
Tammy has worked in the Alaska Native Community for 20 years and currently serves on the boards for Partners Reentry Center, Kenai Peninsula Reentry Coalition and Girl Scouts of Alaska, is the state representative for the American Probation and Parole Association and has been a past board member for several non-profits in the last 15 years. In 2020, Tammy was inducted as an Anchorage ATHENA Society member, was highlighted for her work by the Alaska Native Professional Association and was selected as the 2020 CIRI Shareholder of the Year.
